As season 1 draws to a close, (5 shows left as of this post) I've decided to rethink the overall vision of the league...a bit. And how is that going to be done? Simple...the people who are "on" more will be rewarded with higher caliber matches. And by on, I mean active on a week to week basis. Creating interesting content. Getting their character(s) on shows in MEANINGFUL matches, not just filler. Getting involved in storylines, be they existing ones or new. Generally, if you put the effort in to make your character relevant, you'll see the benefits. How this translates to title matches? That requires some breaking down.
PWN's season lasts 10 months give or take. Two of those months involved multiperson matches for the major titles, the World and Femme Fatale championships. So that breaks down to 8 1 on 1 title matches, unless a multiperson match is agreed upon. There's a lot of characters here in PWN, but not a lot of chances to get a major title shot. That's where character strength comes into play. If your character is what I believe as "ready" for a shot, they'll get a shot. If they don't, then there's obviously something in the equation you're not doing right. Here are the base things I'll be looking for:
1 Fitting in - Is your character fitting into the general PWN landscape, or are they just going through the motions.
2. Content - Are your producing quality content with your character? Just because you're on every week and getting matches doesn't mean your stuff is stellar. It just means you're active. Being active isn't good enough. You need to create content that's interesting and innovative.
3. Character Interaction - Needless to say, O2A threads ain't cuttin' it. Not if you want a shot at the big belts. You need to do the leg work, find another character to work with, and actually WORK with them. I've been an admin long enough to know an ad-libbed thread and one that's been scripted to be robust specific. Those are the threads I'm paying attention to.
4. Impact - If what your character is doing resonates through the whole league, you're doing something right. Keeping your character relevant is without a doubt the easiest way to stay on the top of the contenders list. That only comes from doing something big. And that in turn only comes from doing #'s 1 & 3.
I let things get to casual in season 1. But next season I'm getting back into as a member in another post said "Overload" mode. Where the envelope is pushed, then shoved, then thrown out a window. Will anyone who isn't able to do this be penalized? No, not at all. You just won't see your characters in any major matches, that's for sure. For next season, the focus is simple: "If you're doing your best, do it better." I'm not going to be militant about it and force people to do anything they don't want to or know how to. But the people who know what "Overload" mode is, know what I'm looking for. Characters that stand out above the crowd. Those are who next years main eventers are going to be. If you have what it takes to be one of them, prove it...and reap the rewards as result.

Part of making things more seamless is making it so interactions aren't as random. Yes, you can build rivalries through playing it by ear. But putting thought into your material brings the best out of your characters. That's only achieved by finding someone and working a script out. Not saying it has to be completely scripted. But putting a basic "beginning, middle & end" of a post goes a long way, and makes them seem less slapped together. An simple example is:
Two characters get into it backstage. They trade one liners and insults at each other until one gets under the others skin enough to make him decide to clock the other, so he does. An ensuing brawl breaks out as result before they're broken up, and it leads into a match later on in the night. Simple, to the point, but NOT random.
In ring call outs are nice, and I'm not saying not to do them. But the people who put the time and effort to stage more original and unique interactions between characters, and not just arbitrary "interview/promo" posts are the ones I'm putting at the top of the pile. Because those are the characters looking to BUILD character and not just get on the card. And yes, I know activity plays into that as well. That's why I stated this is prevalent to people who are on and active for every show, and not the people who drop in and drop out over the season.

Basically, you're basing criteria for the limited one on one World title matches on characters who do more then just "show up", but actually look to tell a story of their pursuit for establishment within PWN. At least that's what I got from reading what you posted.

Just making sure. I'll be bringing the best I have with Lucas here. No way I'm not going to put forth my best having been the top guy in VCW for so long. I've got something to prove here.

Adding to the restructuring next season, this next announcement is a major one, and has to do with the Femme Fatale division...
That being there will be NO Femme Fatale division.
Confused? Don't be. It's being overhauled into something completely different, and completely new. For years, myself, Mat, Punch, O'Dell, Ashley and several others have formed a sort of "off the grid" organization where all of our female characters exist outside of the E-Fed world. This organization as you may have seen mentioned by a couple characters is called Neo Joshi Wrestling. And it's focus is pure wrestling. No "divas" allowed. After a convo I had with Mat the other night, as well as in light of a thread Punch made a month or so ago, I've decided that the best course of action to bolster the PWN women's division is to combine the two. So as of the 2012 season, PWN's women's division will be known as the PWN Joshi Division, and the characters within will be designated as Joshis.
But there's more to this then just a name change. The way the story will play out is that Z Entertainment LLC purchases the rights to the NEO Joshi organization...and absorbs ALL of it's contracts. Which a ton of more female characters in PWN. So the female talent puddle will be a pretty deep pool next year. We're taking things into our own hands to build the new women's division into something huge. As far as the titles go, the Neo Joshi Title has been "vacated", and will be absorbed into the Femme Fatale Title to create the PWN Women's World Championship (PWN WW Title for short), and the Debutante Title will thusly be renamed the PWN Women's Continental Championship (PWN WC Title). There will be no vacating or unification matches. The titles will simply take on their new identities after season 1 concludes. Next season we're going to hammer home the fact that even if females can't fight males, they can go to war with each other all the same.

I can answer that one, dude. Between the potential females Oz would bring in (One of which I hope and pray will be Holly Woodz. ) and all of Mat's awesome females, I'd expect some damn fine female action...in a completely not pornographic way.

So not like attrition where it was more competition less competition driven? In other words, throwing a girl in just to compete ain't gonna fly.

The whole point behind the "merger" is so that we have MORE girls available. As of this post, the active female roster of PWN is:
Okami Ashley Diamond Cyn Nister Bull Nagano Aurora Rose Bianca Dianaco Michelle Marx Kim Hunter Helena Troy Morgan Christopherson Tricia Justice Holly Hood Dominique Leshay & Taya Khan (Both my own creations that I haven't RP'd much, but allow to be used in posts by their respective stable mates.)
As you clearly can see, the numbers are DECIDEDLY thin compared to the men. The simple fact of the matter is we need more female characters. Even if they end up just being filler characters to slap in matches go from there. The women's division needs a jolt. Merging the NEO Joshi premise in does exactly that, because it allows for new females pretty much to be added as needed without lengthy explanations as to "why" a certain character is all of a sudden in PWN. The goal is to expand the female roster so that we have more then just two major storylines happening in it as we do now. So rather then go recruiting new females, we're just going to merge the Neo Joshi idea into PWN and use our own female characters to that end. So yea, if you decide you wanted to bring Liz or Crymson into the fire, you could. You'd just have to work into the story of the absences that they recently landed in Neo Joshi Wrestling. That's pretty much it.

I know my participation hasn't been stellar, but seeing as how my RP drive is coming back, would you allow me to bring in a female?

Depends solely on if you can maintain a female character.
I've got another bit of news that rather then be put into play next season, will happen at the end of this one. Rather then do year end rewards like every place else has, instead...each character will be given a year end grade. The grades will goes as follow:
A+: A character that has consistently produced from start to finish the entire season, and has been involved in long standing stories/feuds.
A: A character that produced excellent content.
A-: A character that has produced excellent content, allbeit inconsistently.
B+: A character that produced stellar content, but nothing ground breaking.
B: A character that produced good content, but not great.
B-: A character that has the potential to do better, but needs to be worked on more.
C: A character through any number of factors failed to make much impact, but still did as best as possible.
D: A character that slacked considerably in content and activity.
F: A complete waste of roster space. The handler may want to consider axing them, because chances are I will.
I can pretty much tell you there are only four A+ characters, and I'm sure everyone can guess who those characters are. Most other grades will range from A - B, and yes...there will be more then a fair share of C's, D's and a couple F's. This will give everyone a good gauge as to how their doing, and what they should be doing to improve their character's standing for next season.
