When it seems like everything has been invented when it comes to skyscrapers, a new idea always comes up that leaves us stunned. The architectural proposal Skyshekter.zip has become the winner of the annual awards given by the architecture magazine eVolo. The goal is to reward the most innovative skyscraper concepts , and in this case there is no doubt about the winner, since it is a foldable skyscraper that fits in a box. The authors of this ingenious building are three Polish architects: Damian Granosik, Jakub Kulisa and Piotr Pańczyk, who, with the aim of designing a tower useful for areas affected by natural disasters or war conflicts , created Skyshekter.zip.
In addition to its innovation, it stands out for the advantages it provides in this type of situation, since this skyscraper takes up 30 times less space than a Asia Mobile Number List tent camp, and therefore, less time is also required to prepare and clean the land in the one that is going to be installed. Inspired by origami, this particular skyscraper can be stored in a box and transported to any place in the world you want. Once the terrain has been chosen, its “installation” is quite simple, since it is deployed from the air like an accordion. With the help of three helicopters and thanks to its central structure, in which a large helium balloon is located, in a matter of minutes a building appears out of nowhere.
Folding skyscraper. What is it made of? As for its materials, it is made up of a metal structure whose pieces are made using 3D printing and fall as the skyscraper rises. It has been described as a “skyscraper”, but the truth is that it does not have a fixed height, since depending on how we provide it with a greater or lesser amount of air, it will unfold more or less. The number of floors it will house will depend on the needs of the place. Although it is designed to be transported to areas devastated by natural disasters, the truth is that its design could house all types of spaces, from gardens, to residential areas, hospitals or even schools.
